A few months ago my wonderful other mother, Aunt Susan Cox, was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was devastating news to our family, but we have all felt strongly that she would be okay and survive this horrible disease. She had a double radical mastectomy on July 7th, and started her first round of chemotherapy last Friday. In honor of her, Jared shaved his head! Yes, his head is that white... no tan with that dark of hair. This was the first time Jared has completely shaved his head, and did it out of love and respect for Sue. We love you Aunt Susan and our thoughts and prayers are with you to have a full recovery! I am not brave enough to shave my head, but will be making a donation to the Susan G Komen foundation in honor of Sue.Sunday, August 17, 2008

wow.. Jared.. I didn't think I'd ever see anyone shave their head shorter than what my dad shaves his... Apparently I was wrong.. haha. And don't feel bad about the white head... I don't tan at all, so my whole body is THAT white!! haha. have fun cuz!
what an amazing way to let her know you care! That has got to be hard to deal with.

My mom told me that Jared was going to shave his head... I'm glad I got to see it! She said that Ray and Billy are going to shave their heads, too. We'll have to get a picture of the 3 of them together. You look great, Jared. Are you all healed from your accident?
It's a Nikon Digital SLR D80 camera. It's pretty awesome. I love it. I have a Nikon N55 film camera too. I also love that camera! they are fun to have! big, but fun. haha
and cassie better read the twilight series!!! if we have to, we can convince her to buy the audio cd's and then she can just listen to them in the car or something. My mom did that with the 5th and 6th harry potter books...
Give Jared a few days in the Vegas sun and his head will be tan in no time!
Hope your Aunt Sue makes a speedy recovery. I know how close you guys all are-she's lucky to have such a supportive family!
I think I could handle shaving my head, but Mike vetoed me... He better shave his head. He's still having an internal debate as to whether he will do it or not this weekend for the head shaving party. We'll keep you posted!

my friend just told me they print blogs. I haven't tried it out yet, only read a little. IT looks like you have to download something, but I didn't feel like it right now. But yeah, it looks pretty cool :)
