Been Busy
I haven't posted in a while.. I do have pictures I want to post of both Matthew and Zachary on their first day's of school. Matthew started Kindergarten, and Zach is now in "Pre-K". We are all doing well.. I have been crazy busy with getting kids to and from school, working, keeping up on the house (for those of you that have been to my house and know how much tile I have, I scrubbed on my hands and knees, the grout last weekend on all the tile in the house) and I just started my first Biology class towards "maybe" going to nursing school. I have been a little discouraged about going back to school because I met with a school counselor and I have to take Speech 101, don't know WHY i need that, I was a teacher for crying out loud. I also need to take another Math class, and possible retake Psychology 101. I already took that class my very first semester of college, but got a C, so I might need to retake it for an A. Plus I have another THREE BIO classes to take before I can get into the program. Anyways, I just don't know now if I want to devote all this time, and money, towards nursing when I already have a degree, and could go back to teaching. The last week taking Matt to and from school has really made me miss being a teacher, and reminded my why I went into teaching to begin with.. not for the money, but for the kids. I figure I will finish this BIO class and see what I think after Christmas.

if it helps any... i still don't know if i like college or not.. so... it's all good.
The nice thing is, I think either way you go, it won't be the "wrong" decision. You would still be happy either way, so don't stress about deciding. You'll know what to do!!
wow you are really busy. I recently applied to get into a library program so that I can have a degree to teach library or work in the public library if I so choose. Maybe you should look into being a specialist or maybe you should be a school nurse...you know we need them sooo much...I think if I had it to do all over again I would have become a midwife.
good luck and don't stress.
ps Brady is at cimmaron memorial preschool.
Your busy life is sounding a little like mine! At least there is no fear of boredom. I think the school nurse option sounds interesting. . sort of blends both worlds.
Do you ever have any time for yourself? I thought I was busy and I don't have a second job or go to school. I am really impressed, and inspired. Maybe I'll get up and clean my floors.
Sounds like a tough decision! Can't you take any of those classes over the internet or Univ. of Phoenix? That is crazy that they wont accept your credit from your first degree! Maybe your should try substituting a couple times to see if you want to reconsider that as an option? Crazy... Can't wait to see the boys pictures :)
Oh, and thanks for telling my mom about the milk, I had NO idea that was how you were supposed to get them onto whole milk, so THANKS!!!
Cassie
Or, since you're so good at cleaning floors, grab yourself a cute little maid's outfit and start cleaning houses. =)
You+me= team teaching, sort of!! I think this district of ours should reach out to those teachers-turned-moms and offer them 1/2 days.... You teach math/science in the mornings and I'll teach reading/lang arts in the afternoons!!! It's the best of both worlds =o)
FYI you can split a contract in ccsd. It is called a job share and I have friends that split the day, I have friends who split the week and I have friends who work one week on one week off. The only problem is finding a principal who is willing to do it. Most of the job shares are in the southwest region.
Thanks for all the advice!! It does really help to hear what other people think. Especially the advice on becoming a maid!! Hey, I can start cleaning houses immediately.
Glad to hear it-do you travel? =)
